I will engage in nature-based activities alone, or with my family, for 30 minute(s) each day. (This can be anything from going on a walk or hike, to noticing the leaves changing color, to reading a book with nature themes.)
Nature
Tend a Garden
I will tend to a garden each day, or work on starting one.
Energy
Online Energy Audit
I will complete an online energy audit of my home, office, or dorm room and identify my next steps for saving energy.
Health
Avoid refined sugar
I will adopt a diet free of refined sugars, which eliminates sweetened beverages, candy, and processed foods.
Food
Buy From a Farmers Market
I will purchase produce and meat from a local farmers market or food co-op.

Choose LED Bulbs
I will replace 5 incandescent lightbulb(s) with Energy Star-certified LED bulbs, saving up to $14 per fixture per year.
Energy
CHECK OUT THE CHELAN PUD WEBSITE
I will spend 10 minutes checking out all the energy-saving opportunities on Chelan PUD's web page, ConservationMakesCents.org. Action Resource > >

Watch a Documentary
I will watch a documentary film about food with family and friends and talk about what we learned.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Erin Davidson 5/14/2017 10:26 PMStarted planning a new veggie garden, lots of outside play time, setup a new thistle feeder and spent time watching the birds at the feeders. We love the hummers! 5-year-old birthday boy festivities today with lots of family, so couldn't hit the trails.
We are really into dinosaurs, and consume all reference books we get our hands on. Lots of great discussions about habitats, predators/prey, skeletons, etc. -
