I would start a compost pile, but I have ten acres up #2 Canyon, and for the 35 years I've owned the place, my "compost pile" has just been to throw stuff out the front door!

I'm going one better than turning the thermostat down and back up all the time.  I'm just leaving the central heat way down.  I have a small space heater in the computer room where I spend most of my time.  I turn the heater up when I'm in the room, and turn it off when I leave.  The other room I spend a lot of time in is the bedroom, and it hasn't been cold enough that I've had to use the space heater in there at all.  Plus I like it cool when I'm sleeping.

I've been driving more carefully to make sure I don't waste fuel with fast acceleration or anything like that.  I heard a long time ago the thing to do is pretend there's an egg between your foot and the gas pedal, and you can't push it too hard or you'll break the egg.  So that's what I've been doing.

I've got a presentation I have to do on Friday, and I've been very busy getting ready for that.  Sorry I haven't been earning any points.  Friday about 3:30 PM I will be done with that presentation and can get back to the ecochallenge.

Have long been interested in keeping this planet livable for generations to come.  Since I don't think I can end the user of fossil fuels all by myself, I guess I will try doing a bunch of smaller things.
