Though I didn't count it for points, I did some nice things for my health, walking, acupuncture, gardening. Lovely week. I like the idea of driving less, walking and biking more. I am planning for this more often now. Eating lots of vegetarian this week etc. I am grateful

Thanks Stacey for being such a great addition to our team!  I've been sick this week, but would have been interested in the cleaning product party.  Thanks for hosting that!  Enjoy your last day of the EcoChallenge!

Tonight I hosted an H2O demonstration- amazing micro fibre fabric cleaning cloths combined with low-non toxic cleaning materials. Sustainable cleaning products that even save money as well. I was very impressed with the ingenuity and the products themselves. Thanks to Dr. Chandra Villano and Grace Edwards for teaching us tonight.

Today, made a huge pot of beans and rice for the week, because it is vegetarian and uses less energy to make a large potfull  at one time.
In my purchase of garden plants: i bought at the local Greenhouse instead of driving to Wenatchee for the same plants and seeds. Saved an hour of driving. I took my coffee cup to the espresso Counter and saved a paper cup, also did not used the bag offered for plants- I stead used a washable reusable grocery bag to transport plants- with no plastic carrier.

Though I am late checking in to the eco-challenge, I was fortunate to work on it today: 1. today we chose church 5 minutes away rather than 45 minutes away. I didn't use a paper plate for coffee hour. Etc.

I rode my bike, cleaned out some items in the garage and set them on the curb to give away instead of garbage, used our reusable bags at the store. I checked in to Link transit and like their FB page, used a reusable water bottle, bought food for several vegetarian meals and enjoyed my grand-daughter. A good day.
