    we have a saying here," if it's brown flush it down, if it's yellow let it mellow". It helps saves water since there are 8 people in the house.

    With the warmer weather approaching we really watch our water consumption and even recycle bath/shower water for the bushes.

    I can't believe how much extra stuff we have lying around. Even the kids are donating clothes, shoes and toys to the thrift store.

    Packing my lunch in a reusable container with my aluminum water bottle and taking clothes and shoes to the local thrift store.

    My foster kids and I went to the Hope Chest, a used clothing and shoe place for foster kids and their families. We traded good out grown clothing for larger sizes. Yea, it's easy on the check book!

    Some of these challenges I have been doing for years but for those of you who want an alternative product for washing clothes go to www.greenvirginproducts.com an buy their soap nuts. We have a well so our water is hard and these nuts clean our clothes really well.
